Wet Wedneday ~ 25/10/06

Urgghhh ... it really is a grotty day .. cold grey, dank ... no wonder I am fighting to stay awake at my post ..

Had a fun weekend in Yorkshire. Family all on good form.

Even acquired a freeview box .. which seems to be incompatible with my dvd player, but that's another story.

Have had Recruitment Consultants getting in touch. Thank God, the salt mines would be better than here thesedays ... even m'colleague has been sitting here saying "It's shit .. I can't take it anymore ..."

Gives you an idea of morale .. much lower and it would be seeping into the watertable.

Off to a Birthday Party on Friday night and A Halloween Party on Saturday. The Halloween Party is supposed to be fancy dress ... I think I'll go as I am and say I've come as a Psychopath.

Monday ~ 2/10/06

Listening to the Time Tunnel on Heart this morning, I thought the year was 1995 .. then Toby asked who it was off This Life that turned up in the Pirates of the Caribbean. I texted saying that I thought it was '95 and that Jack Davenport was the actor who was in This Life then Pirates .. and signed the text "Pip" ..

After the next song Toby Anstis pipes up .. "we've just jad a text from Pip who says 1995 and that is was Jack Davenport who was in both .. so it was .. thanks for that Pip ! Good to know she's on the ball ..."

So he thought Pip was a girls name ?! Bloody cheek .... I blame the Archers ...

Sunday ~ 1/10/06

Woke up on the sofa at Scott & Phil's. Scott cooked bacon sarnies for brekkers .. always a good resotorative.

Caught Tube into Town. Got soaked in rain.

Went to O&C .. sat reading in the Library, across from some old buffer who looked like a cross between a Bond baddie and a War Crminal. Graham arrived and so we went for tea in the drawing room. Rather odd people around. Especially the three chaps in their 20's who dressed like they were 40 and looked like rejects from "Ask the Family" first time round ... but I had a pot of assam and some cucumber sandwiches and was happy.

Saturday ~ 30/9/06

Went up to town .. cllected a book from Heywood Hill .. met Christopher for Lunch .. had an eye test .. Then went to a Party at Scott & Phil's in Leytonstone .. all good clean fun.
